The Cafe at the Frick Beer Dinner - Thur - 7 pm The four-course spread, which costs $85 per person including tax and tip, will be paired with brews from Voodoo, Troegs, Weyerbacher, Rivertown, and a home brew from the cafe’s chefs. Reserve (prepayment required) at 412-371-0600.
Beer & Cheese Pairing - Sat - 5:30 pm Barley’s & Hop’s, Tim Santoro guides you through imported cheeses paired with craft and import beer. Cost, including crackers and grapes, is $28.50 per person, and reservations must be made by March 26 (412-854-4ALE).
Hop Beer Tasting Hike - Sat - 3pm to 7pm Hike around Settler’s Cabin Park followed by a craft beer tasting of hoppy beers. This hike will involve some steep hills. Minimum age 21. Cost is $44 non-members, $27.50 members.

Irish Stouts - Thur - 6 to 8pm Get a taste of the usual suspects at 3 Sons. We had the Beamish at the last TRBC tasting, and most seemed to like it very much.

Beer Tasting @ The Warhol - Fri 5:30 pm Socialize while sampling art, appetizers, and craft brew. Sales reps on hand to discuss the beers.
Bell’s Hopslam Firkin - Fatheads - Fri 5pm The only firkin of Hopslam in western PA. It will go fast.
Southside Craft Beer Tour - 1311 - Sat 1 pm Tour over 150 craft and import beers.
There isn’t much to envy about the City of Brotherly Love, but Philly has us beat hands down this week. While I post a measly few beer tastings, Philly Beer Week is in full swing. With almost 700 events in 10 days, it is a beer lover’s nirvana. Of course, we will have Philly beat when UPMC sponsors Liver Transplant Week for all PBW attendees.
